My Story
Ambassador Sheila Renee McGruder Youngblood-Shields, a native of South Carolina, is a living testimony of God’s power.
Min. Sheila McGruder is a devoted wife to Mr. Rodriquez McGruder. She has one sister, Regina Robinson. Her life is a living testimony of God’s power, from her miraculous birth to the conception of her three children, and the extraordinary journey of her late son Christopher. She has overcome numerous medical challenges, including surviving a coma, and continues to inspire others through her resilience.
A native of South Carolina, Sheila graduated from Walterboro High School in 1983, where she excelled as a J.V. and Varsity cheerleader for the WHS Bulldogs, a member of the Honors Allstate Chorale, and an active participant in student government.
Her Christian journey began early at Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was baptized and served alongside her adoptive father, Deacon Willie C. Youngblood. Sheila is an ordained pastor and the founder of Wailing Warrior International Global Ministries, established in Walterboro in 1992. Her ministry spans decades of public service, community advocacy, and spreading the Gospel across the U.S. and Central Europe.
